We use effective collaboration models with agencies and our cross-company creative network to ensure a consistent, strong creative narrative for work that reaches an audience across the globe. ## Role: Copywriter (In-House Creative Team) Meta is looking for a Copywriter to join our in-house creative team. You will craft compelling copy across Meta’s family of apps and hardware products—including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Meta Quest, and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. In this role, you will develop copy that brings product stories to life, shapes brand voice, and connects billions of people to the experiences and technology that matter most to them. You will work across a range of formats and channels, from social and digital campaigns to product marketing and brand storytelling—ensuring every word reflects the distinct voice and purpose of each platform. ## Responsibilities - Write and concept ideas for a variety of mediums, including mobile, social, product, film, interactive, content, activations, OOH, print, events, and experiential. - Apply knowledge of writing and conceptual ideation to tell stories on behalf of a brand and within a product. - Present ideas clearly and with focus to build consensus and alignment with stakeholders across teams. - Collaborate in a cross-functional environment, partnering with producers, art directors, marketers, and program management to reach campaign goals. - Support innovation within formats to create breakthrough and memorable creative work. - Deliver mixed creative assets, including short-form copy, long-form scripts, social content, and campaign narratives. - Create original, breakthrough work. ## Qualifications - 1+ years of experience in copywriting, creative writing, or a related creative discipline. - Experience problem-solving in fast-paced environments and navigating ambiguity. - A passion for and interest in product storytelling and project strategy. - Strong communication skills. - Knowledge of and experience using AI tool capabilities and limitations in the context of copywriting and creative ideation. - Experience seeking out new AI knowledge and skills, understanding how AI is reshaping creative work, and experimenting with emerging AI technologies in active creative workflows. - Demonstrated judgment in using AI in creative work—knowing when to use it, when to rely on traditional tools, and how to edit/refine AI-assisted work to reach a high-quality final output. - Must obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and throughout employment. - Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews). - Familiarity with writing for short-form video and motion-led formats such as Reels, Stories, or connected TV. - Experience contributing to or maintaining brand voice and tone guidelines at scale. - Experience using AI-assisted writing tools to accelerate ideation, explore creative directions, or optimize copy workflows. - Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements). - Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies. - Experience developing copy for product launches, including app features or consumer hardware. ## Applying to this role This Copywriter role at Meta runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
