They gain a comprehensive understanding of infrastructure private equity investment, from deal sourcing and execution to asset and client management. Responsibilities include supporting investment teams with financial analysis, valuation, and modeling; analyzing new deal opportunities; and assisting with asset management activities such as debt refinancing and implementing growth initiatives. Candidates should have strong skills in financial analysis, valuation, and modeling, along with proficiency in the MS Office suite and strong interpersonal skills. They should have completed or be in the process of completing a degree from a leading university or business school. Previous internships in areas such as private equity, M&A, or structured finance are beneficial. Effective communication skills—both verbally and in writing—are essential, as interns interact with internal and external stakeholders, including Ardian clients, team members, and external parties, often across different geographical locations. Fluency in English is required. ## The Role Interns in the Ardian Infrastructure team assist with the identification, analysis, and execution of potential investment opportunities, as well as asset management for existing portfolio assets. The internship provides a global view of infrastructure private equity investment, from deal sourcing and execution to asset and client management. ## Job Responsibilities - Support investment teams in financial analysis and valuation, financial modeling, and the preparation of internal deal materials, including investment memoranda and valuation presentations. - Perform financial modeling in Excel, including building forecasts, valuation and return analysis, and sensitivity analysis. - Analyze new deal opportunities and investment perimeters (countries and sectors) through ad-hoc reviews. - Support asset management activities depending on assigned assets, such as arranging debt refinancing or working with management teams and external advisors to implement growth initiatives. - Support the co-investment team by liaising with Ardian deal teams and potential co-investors. - Prepare regular asset management reporting and support communication to Ardian clients. ## Required Skills - Knowledge of financial statement analysis and valuation techniques. - Knowledge of financial modeling and LBO structuring. - Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Competence in basic financial modeling. - A strong mix of quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. - Intellectual rigor and discipline. - Ability to organize and perform work efficiently. ## Profile - Degree completed or expected from a leading university or business school.
