## Tax Intern / Tax Associate Responsibilities

Working as part of a team focused on a range of tax specialty areas, including:

  
- Accounting for income taxes, including accounting methods and periods
  
- Corporate taxation
  
- Federal credits and incentives
  
- Individual taxation
  
- Mergers and acquisitions
  
- Pass-through entity taxation
  
- Private client services
  
- Not-for-profit organizations

  
- Complete tax planning and research
  
- Prepare federal and state and local tax returns
  
- Understand tax regulations and accounting pronouncements

## Basic Qualifications

  
- 90 credit hours completed
  
- Working toward a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  
- Accounting major
  
- Travel to assigned client locations is required; must have access to and be able to arrange reliable transportation
  
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred

## Preferred Qualifications

  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
- Ability to work effectively on a team
  
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

## Compensation Range

$36 - $43 per hour
