Posted 2026-08-25; applications close 2026-10-24. **Apply**: https://jobs.standardchartered.com/job/Singapore-Investment-Advisor%2C-WM/1370283457/?feedId=363857&utm_source=CareerSite Posted 3d ago. ## Role details ## Job Summary Deliver investment advice that meets clients’ financial objectives and needs profile. ## Key Responsibilities - Partner with the International Banking Relationship Manager (offshore market) to provide timely and relevant investment advisory services based on clients’ financial objectives and needs profile. - Utilise in-house advisory platforms to deliver holistic investment advisory to clients. - Strengthen the value proposition of the Investment Advisory (IA) team by contributing investment ideas/themes and speaking at market outlook events. - Participate in and promote digital initiatives, and facilitate webinars to enhance the wealth management client journey and improve market penetration. - Provide training to Relationship Managers (RMs) on portfolio construction and proposals, including product and system knowledge. ## Regulatory & Business Conduct - Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. - Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank—understanding and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct in letter and spirit. - Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters effectively and collaboratively. ## Our Ideal Candidate - Degree holder in Finance, Business, Economics, or Banking. - Preferably 1+ year of experience in the wealth advisory field. - Passion and affinity for financial markets. - Good understanding of key products: Unit Trusts, Bonds, FX, and Structured Products. - Fluent in both written and verbal Mandarin, with the ability to articulate information, ideas, and solutions to clients succinctly. - Experience in managing the Greater China market. - Good understanding and command of Mandarin, as the role will support the Chinese market. - Linguistic proficiency and cultural awareness; additional language skills are a plus. - Self-driven team player who takes initiative and is detail-oriented. ## Role Specific Technical Competencies - Understanding of financial markets and concepts. - Interpersonal and written communication skills, able to present information convincingly and concisely. - Knowledge across investment product classes. - Portfolio management and penetration. - Positive, proactive mindset; keeps abreast of market developments and trends. ## Applying to this role This Investment Advisor, WM role at Standard Chartered runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
