In this role, you will: - Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications. - Receive training on the full software creation process, from design and build to testing and deployment. - Build scripts to automate parts of the software development process. - Learn debugging methodologies to investigate and resolve root-cause issues. - Contribute to crafting technical/functional documents and reports as needed on certain projects. ## Who We Are Looking For - Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a Master’s degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. - Knowledge and/or experience in relevant technical areas (or related areas), such as: - Software engineering concepts, principles, and theories - C/C++ and scripting languages like Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, and UML - UNIX/Linux operating systems - Databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB - Cloud computing platforms (Azure) - Web development frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring Boot) - Markup languages such as HTML, XML, and XSL - Defect tracking, testing, and debugging - Git (GitHub), and Perforce - Security technologies such as OAuth, SSL, or TLS - PC/CPU architecture, embedded systems, and microcontrollers ## Additional Information - **Visa Sponsorship:** This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. ## Applying to this role This 2027 Masters Software Engineer Intern/Co-op role at AMD runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
