## Job Summary

This position provides support to the underwriting activities for the General Property portfolio.

## Essential Job Functions

  
- Enter new submissions and update the Submission register.
  
- Assist underwriters with renewal preparation, including preparing premium and loss exhibits.
  
- Assist underwriters in obtaining D&B reports, preparing catastrophe analysis, and preparing quotation letters.
  
- Prepare insurance binders and reinsurance layoff sheets to book and bill new and renewal accounts.
  
- Set up new and renewal account files upon binding accounts.
  
- Prepare policies and endorsements for underwriter review.
  
- Follow up on information needed from brokers.
  
- Maintain reports as required by underwriters.
  
- Perform premium entry and reconciliation.

## Job Requirements

  
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance, or equivalent work experience.
  
- 1–2 years of related experience preferred (Insurance Internships will be considered).
  
- Administrative/clerical experience in an underwriting environment is ideal.
  
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
  
- Strong computer skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
