For further information about Nomura, visit www.nomura.com. ## Department Overview Nomura’s Cash Management is part of the Treasury Operations team and is responsible for a broad range of functions related to cash management, liquidity, and funding for Nomura. ## Role Description - Reconcile daily payment activity through the main funding accounts, including researching and resolving funding-related inquiries from internal stakeholders. - Handle payment requests in collaboration with internal partners to process requests in a timely and accurate manner. - Monitor payment platforms used by the firm for payment processing and address any issues that arise during operating hours. - Oversee funding accounts to ensure sufficient funds are available for business needs throughout the day. - Review and confirm proper documentation for client payments that are potentially subject to OFAC or Watch lists. - Manage internal mailboxes, phone calls, and other inquiries to ensure daily issues are resolved. ## Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge Required - 1+ year of experience in Financial Services, either full-time or internship. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. - Series 99 Operations professional desired. - Strong due diligence to ensure the accuracy of work. - Problem-solving capabilities with the ability to think and act quickly. - Strong and effective communication skills. - Strong initiative to resolve issues, ask questions, and identify what needs to be done. - Ability to research exception items and develop paths for corrective action. ## Nomura Leadership Behaviours - **Explore Insights & Vision:** Identify underlying causes of problems and define a clear vision and direction for the future. - **Making Strategic Decisions:** Evaluate options for resolving problems and effectively prioritize actions or recommendations. - **Inspire Entrepreneurship in People:** Inspire team members through effective communication and motivate them to enhance productivity. - **Elevate Organizational Capability:** Engage proactively in professional development and promote knowledge sharing to enhance team productivity. - **Inclusion:** Foster a culture of inclusion and psychological safety, and cultivate a “Risk Culture” (Challenge, Escalate and Respect). ## Applying to this role This Cash Management Analyst role at Nomura runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
