This involves working on projects that explain risk and pricing models applied to multi-asset class portfolios, as well as partnering with the consultant team to provide expertise in client engagements and pre-sales activities. The role also includes supporting clients in using MSCI Analytics for compliance with regulations such as FRTB and UCITS. Successful candidates will have a thorough knowledge of market risk measurement and management, pricing and valuation across asset types (including equity, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives), and strong quantitative skills. The role requires the ability to guide institutional clients in using our products to assess risks and make investment decisions. The ideal candidate is adaptable and able to lead efforts to solve client problems. ## Key Responsibilities - Manage relationships within the analytics client base and implement strategic plans to support client retention. - Proactively engage with clients and provide best-practice guidance on risk measurement and risk management, pricing models using Barra and/or RiskMetrics products, and regulatory requirements such as FRTB, PRIIPs, and UCITS. - Provide programming support to sophisticated and quantitative clients using Barra and/or RiskMetrics products. - Identify opportunities to increase client usage and onboard new users; work closely with the sales team on potential sales opportunities. - Assist with campaigns related to new product placements. - Engage clients to keep them informed of the product roadmap and how development efforts support their business goals; proactively solicit client feedback on future product development. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requests and inquiries are handled appropriately. - Respond to detailed client inquiries about methodologies and analytics; hold advanced client trainings/workshops and present at seminars. - Maintain and communicate accurate records of client interaction activities. ## Skills and Experience - Strong experience in a quantitative function and excellent analytical skills. - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and communicate effectively. - Confidence in explaining technical topics to varied audiences in a succinct and professional manner. - Experience modeling structured products using Monte Carlo or closed-form techniques (e.g., accumulator strips, triple binary options, absolute return barrier notes, convertible target redemption forwards) is a plus. - Extensive experience pricing instruments across asset classes such as fixed income, equities, commodities, and credit markets is a plus. - Experience with object-oriented computing languages is a plus. - Experience with numerical computing languages (e.g., R) is a plus. ## Applying to this role This Client Coverage South East Asia Internship role at MSCI runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
