It opened its US office in early 2025 and is set to grow significantly over the next several years. This is a unique opportunity to play a role in the early rapid expansion of Wintermute Americas. ## Business Development Associate Wintermute is looking for a Business Development Associate to drive growth for its two core business lines: OTC and liquidity provisioning. The role is suited to someone with experience and/or passion for crypto markets who is ready to make a meaningful impact. You will acquire new counterparties and partners globally, and cultivate and grow existing counterparties with a focus on the United States market. You will own a set of opportunities (a specific market, vertical, and/or product) end-to-end. You will establish your own strategic growth agenda, supported by structured guidance from leadership in Wintermute’s US and global offices. The company offers leading liquidity products, partners with top-tier blockchain projects, and has a strong pipeline of strategic growth opportunities and inbound counterparty demand, with no legacy processes or corporate bureaucracy. ## What You Will Work On - Grow the OTC business across both the traditional finance and crypto-native ecosystems (manual and RFQ). - Develop and execute your own OTC growth plan, including acquiring new counterparties, developing existing relationships, cooperating with developer teams to productize solutions, and executing trades. - Grow the crypto liquidity provision business by deepening relationships with existing crypto projects and acquiring new ones. - Develop new relationships with high-profile crypto projects, crypto VCs, institutional investors, miners, and other parties in the crypto ecosystem. - Work with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness in the key markets you are responsible for. - Develop existing relationships with exchanges globally and take them to the next level. - Track key launches and news in the crypto ecosystem and proactively identify cooperation and business development opportunities. ## Hard Skills Requirements - BA and 1–2 years of work experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment (e.g., consulting, banking, fintech). - Experience in the financial services/capital markets industry; experience with crypto markets and/or trading companies/hedge funds is an advantage. - Experience in business development or any client-facing role (e.g., B2B sales, management consulting, investment banking, sales & trading). - Ability and readiness to discuss numbers and quota achievement. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written): convincing, concise, precise, a strong listener, able to clarify next steps, and consistently follow up. - Comfort navigating legal and commercial aspects of business development. - Strong product knowledge of OTC derivatives. - Understanding of and interest in token structures, market making, CEX and DEX liquidity provision, and trading/market liquidity dynamics. - SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses preferred. ## Why You Should Join Our Team - Opportunity to work at a leading algorithmic trading firm in digital assets. - Engaging projects with accelerated responsibilities and ownership growth compared to traditional finance environments. - Vibrant working culture with team events and company-wide team building. - An office in the heart of New York City that often hosts leading industry events. - Great company culture: informal, non-hierarchical, ambitious, highly professional with a startup vibe, collaborative, and entrepreneurial. - Performance-based compensation with significant upside alongside standard perks such as private medical insurance. ## Eligibility Please ensure you are eligible to work in the US.
