Summer Analysts join the firm for 10 weeks in June and are placed on a team within the Corporate Treasury and Capital Planning department, receiving in-depth exposure to a specific team while gaining a broader understanding of the department and its functions. ## Corporate Treasury and Capital Planning Corporate Treasury and Capital Planning provides corporate finance advisory services to senior management and internal business units. The team optimizes the Firm’s liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm’s foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators. ## Training Program The Summer Analyst Program begins with firmwide, Finance, and Corporate Treasury and Capital Planning–specific training. Analysts are immersed in the Morgan Stanley culture while being taught core skills essential for successful completion of the Program. Summer Analysts receive support from a Direct Manager and Peer Mentor, along with opportunities to network with peers and Senior Management through team-building sessions, community service, and other organized events. ## Role and Responsibilities - Assist in the reporting and analysis of the Firm’s funding, liquidity, and capital profile. - Collaborate with teams on stress testing, scenario planning and analysis, and peer benchmarking. - Partner with stakeholders to identify and implement process optimization strategies that enhance monitoring effectiveness for capital, liquidity, and/or funding activities. - Analyze regulatory changes and their impact on the Firm’s business processes. - Communicate and coordinate with various business units and Firm support functions. - Assist the team with day-to-day responsibilities, special projects, and presentations. - Participate in a summer-long project culminating in a department-wide presentation. ## Qualifications - Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (BSc or BA); all concentrations accepted, with demonstrated basic knowledge and keen interest in financial services. - Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. - Self-motivated with high personal standards for quality of work, and a commitment to excellence and integrity. - Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of data to produce well-designed and meaningful summaries and reports. - Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and understand business processes that may not be familiar. - Eager to learn and excited for new challenges; ability to absorb new information and manage high-priority deliverables in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong quantitative skills. - Legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future. ## Application Process and Deadline - Apply with your resume through the Morgan Stanley website and complete the HireVue digital questionnaire. - Resumes are reviewed on a rolling basis until the role is filled or the application deadline, whichever comes first. - Application deadline: September 25, 2026, at 11:55 PM EST. - HireVue completion deadline: September 29, 2026, at 11:55 PM EST. ## Compensation Expected base pay rate is $36.06 per hour at the commencement of employment.
