Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. DV Group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market-making firm, and an investment adviser. DV Commodities is a division within DV Group specializing in trading commodity markets, including crude oil, refined products, natural gas, power, emissions, metals, softs, and agriculture. DV Commodities’ risk management, world-class technology, and talented traders have enabled it to become one of the world’s largest liquidity providers and risk allocators in the energy and commodities spaces. DV Commodities currently has over 35 desks, with traders and staff located in London, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dubai. ## Overview As a Trading Intern, you will work closely with our teams to learn about different types of trading strategies, ranging from market making in oil products to fundamental discretionary approaches in gas and power. You will rotate on at least two desks to explore which trading style best fits your skill set. You will also be asked to build and maintain applications that assist trading activities, including creating new analytics dashboards and developing ideas you back-test and present. You will be mentored by both senior and junior traders, with constant exposure to senior leadership. We foster a culture that encourages cross-desk cooperation. If you want to understand how we navigate trading a wide range of commodities markets, this internship is an exciting opportunity.
