You will monitor Finance operations by performing Key Surveillance Points (KSP) testing, tracking corrective action plans, and assisting with control design during integrations and new setups. You will collaborate closely with local Finance teams to refine control plans and ensure audit readiness. ## Key Responsibilities - Support the implementation of the APAC Finance Permanent Control framework at regional and local levels in line with Group requirements and standards. - Assist in monitoring Finance operations across the APAC region by identifying and assessing potential risks, implementing preventive measures, and supporting process and documentation improvements. - Provide assistance to local Finance teams on Finance Permanent Control and help prevent adverse findings and/or recommendations from internal and external auditors related to control matters. - Contribute to the implementation of the 1LoD / 2LoD Finance framework in the region according to Group and AM standards. - Support the roll-out and execution of the KSP program for Asset Management APAC entities, including sample selection and control testing across topics such as: - Bank reconciliations - Manual entries - Accounts justifications - Fees - Access rights - Group reporting - Systematically review supporting documentation, evaluate adherence to policies and procedures, and accurately record any exceptions or control weaknesses identified. - Prepare summaries of test results and assist with communicating key findings to the AM Finance Permanent Control team and country CFOs before deadlines. - Follow up on the implementation and closure of corrective action plans by tracking progress and updating documentation as needed. - Assist with updating or designing control plans for new finance set-ups and/or financial processes. - Monitor the timely submission and quality of Group quarter-end reports provided by country CFOs and provide constructive feedback to improve submission quality. - Support the preparation of slides related to permanent control and accounting risk management for the monthly Finance Permanent Control Committee and quarterly APAC CFO calls. - Stay up to date with Group Finance policies and procedures, ensuring regional and local versions are updated timely and consistently reflect Group scope, structure, level of detail, and information quality; assist with drafting regional procedures. - Participate in APAC Finance Permanent Control projects and deliver assigned tasks within agreed deadlines and with expected quality. ## Role Requirements ### Key Internal/External Relationships - **Internal:** AM Local CFOs; Finance teams across the APAC region; Global Finance Permanent Control team ### Essential Qualifications & Experience - Fluent in English (written and spoken). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels. - Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with local finance teams. - Degree in Accounting or Finance; candidates may range from fresh graduate to 1–2 years of relevant experience. - Understanding of the financial control function and underlying processes. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities to summarize information and highlight critical areas. - Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail and adherence to high-quality standards. - Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive, productive relationships with stakeholders. - Proactive and able to propose creative solutions to improve existing set-ups. ## Applying to this role This Asset Management - Finance - Assistant Finance Permanent Controller- Junior Position (1 year contract) role at BNP Paribas runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
