It is structured to deliver world-class client service and supports the business through innovative financial solutions. ### Internal Audit Overview The Internal Audit team provides independent audit assurance on Nomura’s internal controls. Interns will participate in the audit process with a focus on inherent risk identification, internal control testing, continuous business risk monitoring, and issue follow-up. ### About the Summer Analyst Program The Summer Analyst Program runs for 10 weeks. Analysts will have extensive contact with Nomura professionals at all levels through discussion groups, seminars, and informal social functions. The program is an integral component of Nomura’s full-time recruiting and is **not** a rotational program. Summer Analysts are expected to receive the same level of exposure as a first-year Analyst, with hands-on opportunities to participate as full members of the team. They should form effective working relationships and demonstrate commitment to the firm’s goals and values. During the internship, Summer Analysts work closely with a peer and interact regularly with a senior mentor. ## What Roles You Might Play - Participate in all phases of audit engagements (planning, fieldwork, and reporting). - Conduct research using professional literature and industry resources. - Review and interpret internal policies and external regulations. - Support data analytics and testing procedures. - Engage with business stakeholders during meetings and process walkthroughs. - Document and analyze test results. - Present findings to audit leadership. - Contribute to developing audit recommendations and action plans. ## Desired Skillset - Outstanding academic record. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. - Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities. - Basic understanding of financial products. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Collaborative team player mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask. - Self-motivated with a drive for continuous learning. - Proactive and results-driven. - Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn. ## Requirements - GPA of 3.2+. - Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (all majors considered, with preference for Accounting, Finance, Economics, or English). - Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 at a college or university in the United States. - No requirement for sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future. ## Salary The intern position has a set base salary at an annualized rate of $70,000 per year.
