The Group operates across three main activities: Domestic Markets, International Financial Services, and Corporate & Institutional Banking. ## Business Area BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking is a globally recognised leader offering capital markets, securities services, financing, treasury and advisory solutions. ## Job Purpose As a long-term intern in the ABS/CLO trading team, the role holder will support more senior team members with routine tasks related to the trading activity. The work will focus on developing desk infrastructure and will be performed under the direct supervision of more experienced colleagues. More specifically, the role will require: - Learning the intricacies of EUR securitised products - Producing and monitoring P&L and risk metrics - Helping improve desk infrastructure and pricers ## Key Responsibilities - Provide routine support by completing non-complex, transaction-oriented tasks, including assisting with booking transactions and monitoring/conducting follow-ups with Middle Office and Back Office - Monitor the aggregate risk and P&L of the team’s book - Stay up to date with market news and events - Evaluate risks and opportunities in the market for positions and strategies that align with the desk’s overall strategy - Provide market colour to other parts of the bank (e.g., Sales, Syndicate & Strategy) - Use knowledge within the team to apply best practices across activities and identify potential process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of support provided - Deliver information to team members accurately and succinctly, and build internal working relationships with other traders and teams (including Sales and DCM) to ensure effective collaboration and franchise development ## Requirements - Degree from a leading university with an excellent academic record, or equivalent work experience - Good understanding of financial markets - Curious and eager to learn - Confident verbal and written communication and networking skills - Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Excel - Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills - Strong analytical thinking and judgement - Meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail - Team player who is proactive, independent, enthusiastic, and has strong interpersonal skills - Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage - Strong programming skills (preferably Python) ## Conduct - Be a role model by supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct - Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks - Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues - Embody and practice the Group values, including alignment with the Bank’s strategy, commitment, work ethic, integrity, and Code of Conduct ## Location and Duration - Location: London - Duration: 12 months ## Additional Application Information - You may only apply to four long-term internships over the course of a year (across any business area). - Successful candidates for this long-term internship will be considered for London only. - Please discuss available start dates with your interviewers. - Unsuccessful candidates’ CVs will be shared with other teams within BNP Paribas and considered for potentially suitable roles for the relevant recruitment round. ## Applying to this role This London - Long Internship 2026 - ABS/CLO Trading role at BNP Paribas runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
