This is a temporary position of approximately 12 months. This position is on a hybrid schedule with 3 days per week in the New York City office located at 25 Madison Ave. ## Position Summary The Junior Accountant responsibilities will include all aspects of the general ledger and month-end closing in a deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills are required. ## Job Responsibilities - Prepare all intercompany invoices - Record monthly journal entries - Provide feedback to the manager on ways to enhance and streamline the invoicing process - Monitor AP clearing accounts daily - Prepare analysis schedules - Prepare bank reconciliations - Assist with the monthly accounting close - Assist with special projects as they arise - Maintain honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct as material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above ## Qualifications Your qualifications and experience should include: - BS degree in Accounting (required) - 1–2 years accounting experience - Experience with SAP Accounting software - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Strong analytical and communication skills - Adaptability and willingness to work in a changing environment with continued process improvement expected - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) - Driven, self-motivated, deadline-driven, and goal-oriented - All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA ## Benefits SCA offers benefits-eligible fixed-term employees (scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week) certain benefits under the Sony Corporation of America Health and Welfare Benefits Plan.
