Job Description
The Visa Technology Management (TM) team in the Operations and Infrastructure group is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to work on large, complex, end-to-end IT initiatives.
In this role, you’ll work on initiatives at the heart of Visa’s growth strategy, partnering with teams to solve challenging growth, scale, and resiliency problems while delivering new features, products, and services to customers across the global payments and financial services marketplace.
You’ll work across the Product, Product Development, and Infrastructure Engineering technology domains (compute, storage, database, network, middleware, and operations, etc.), interacting with engineers, architects, and product leads to push the boundaries of what’s achievable in delivering new and innovative payment solutions.
Your passion for excellence—combined with uncompromising standards and a positive, principle-centered approach to leadership—will help lift the programs you lead to new levels of performance.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office; expectations for these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 6 months of relevant work experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Work experience in program management
- Good understanding of program management concepts and methodologies
- Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure projects for high availability and high-volume service platforms, with significant experience in organizations applying lean/agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months or more years of work experience with a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in technical program management with large, complex, enterprise IT systems, including hardware and/or software design
- Preferred PMP and/or solution architecture or similar certifications
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile (Scrum, XP, Lean & Kanban, etc.) methodologies
- Preferred experience with architecture and project management tools
- Preferred ITIL v3 and TOGAF certification
- Strong qualities in team building, motivation, and conflict resolution
- Exemplary English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Cross-cultural and diverse team collaboration and partnership
- Strong drive to over-deliver quality project results on time and on budget
