The business track offers students studying Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or General Business-related specializations the opportunity to gain broader real-world experience while completing the remaining 18+ months of undergraduate studies. This paid rotational training program provides exposure to multiple business functions, including account management, solution sales, general business sales, business development, demand generation, partner business, technical sales, business operations, consulting, and more. Students can build early momentum for careers in tech companies such as SAP. ## Program Overview: What You’ll Do - Rotate across different business units (LoB) within the Customer Success (CS) and Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D) organisation. - Receive on-the-job and structured development, mentoring, and coaching from managers and leaders. - Get paid to work full-time during school breaks, part-time during the academic year, or full-time over a semester to gain course credit. - Learn from experienced mentors and build your professional network early. ## End of Program Opportunities - Be considered for full-time job opportunities within the business that challenge and grow your current capabilities. - Be admitted to the SAP Academy Programs. ## What STAR Students Will Be Doing ### Rotation STAR students must complete at least three mandatory customer-facing rotations in designated business areas, followed by wheels into other SAP business areas by the end of the program. Examples include: - **Sales** — Work with Account Managers and Sales teams as trusted advisors, engaging in meaningful ways to deliver sustainable solutions to major client challenges. - **Presales** — Support pre-sales activities for SAP products and services. Create and maintain sales presentations, product demos, and other materials to secure business and grow revenue. - **Customer Success Manager** — Take full responsibility for customer accounts across lifecycle stages (onboarding to adoption, expansion, and renewal). Daily work includes data-driven analysis and execution, as well as change management projects. - **Consulting & Delivery** — Partner directly with clients to understand business needs and challenges, provide expert advice and solutions, implement SAP solutions, and support successful project delivery. - **Partner Business Management** — Collaborate with SAP’s network of partners to drive mutual success. Manage partner relationships, develop joint business plans, and ensure partners are equipped with the tools and knowledge to sell and implement SAP solutions effectively. ### Project Ownership Every STAR leads at least one STAR Project to build project management, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. ### Bootcamp & Onboarding - Design and deliver onboarding experiences and bootcamp activities for new STARs. ### Media & Communications - Create engaging content and manage communications across internal channels. ### Learning & Development - Organise learning sessions, workshops, and development initiatives for the STAR community. ### STAR Engagement - Plan and execute activities that foster connection, collaboration, and a strong STAR community. ### Outreach - Support employer branding and campus engagement initiatives to attract future STAR talent. ## Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies - Studying Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or General Business-related specializations. - Have at least 18+ months remaining until the completion of studies. - Able to commit at least one 6-month full-time placement during the program (credit-bearing internship, work-study attachment, or a leave of absence). - Willing and able to work 2 days per week (part-time) during the semester; 5 days per week (full-time) during study breaks. - Passionate about business AI, technology, innovation, and how digital platforms and applications address business challenges. - Strong presence and excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus. - Problem-solver with ambition, resilience, proactivity, open-mindedness, a growth mindset, and the ability to handle pressure effectively. - Collaborative, empathetic, and respectful team player. - Demonstrated leadership or involvement in projects, hackathons, student organisations, competitions, or other extracurricular activities. - Currently studying in Singapore.
