Posted 2026-08-10; applications close 2026-10-09. **Apply**: https://careers-bocusa.icims.com/jobs/4497/banking-department---banking-operation-customer-service-associate/job Posted 9d ago. ## Role details ## Banking Operation Customer Service Associate **Location:** New York, NY (US) **Category:** Retail Banking **Position Type:** Full-Time **Posting Date:** 8/10/2026 **Job ID:** 2026-4497 ## Overview The Banking Customer Service Associate promotes business for the Bank by delivering high-quality customer service to existing and potential customers. ## Responsibilities ### Customer Service, Reporting and Operational Support (80%) - Assist customers with routine account-related requests, including opening, modifying, and closing accounts/debit cards, funds transfers, stop payments, inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges, and reviewing account transactions. - Process special depository products and other related services. - Collect customers’ identification documents in accordance with the Bank’s KYC policy. - Maintain and enhance strong customer relationships by providing friendly and courteous, high-quality banking services. - Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. - Research and resolve customer problems; act as a customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary. - Prepare customer correspondence and handle any returned mailing. - Prepare reports, including but not limited to 1099 reports, 1042s reports, W-8 Form update reports, CD pre-maturity notice reports, and Foreign Exchange Annual Statement reports. - Input and maintain debit cards within the system. - Handle daily operations for special depository products such as CDARS, ICS, School District Deposit, and other structural deposit services. - Review and consolidate inactive accounts for processing abandoned property in accordance with Bank policies and procedures. - Conduct internal account reconciliation. ### Compliance (20%) - Understand and support compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, and Consumer Compliance. - Send, process, and follow up on RFI. - Identify and escalate compliance-related red flags or suspicious activities. - Adhere to all department and banking policies and procedures to ensure business is conducted in strict compliance with relevant regulations and rules. ## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required; master’s degree is preferred. - 1–3 years of work experience in banking, preferably retail banking. - Strong communication and multi-tasking skills. - Ability to present a professional image at all times. - Adequate knowledge of banking products and services. - In-depth knowledge of banking operational procedures to perform duties accurately and efficiently. - Bilingual capability in Mandarin is required. ## Pay Range Actual salary is commensurate with the candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and other qualifications. **USD $42,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.** ## Applying to this role This Banking Department - Banking Operation Customer Service Associate role at Bank of China runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
