## Assistant Engineer (Data Centre Operations)

### What this job involves

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Engineer to support our Data Centre operations team, with a primary focus on administrative and documentation duties. This role is essential in ensuring accurate recordkeeping, compliance with operational procedures, and smooth coordination between engineering activities and back-office functions.

## Responsibilities

  
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including equipment logs, maintenance records, and as-built drawings.
  
- Process work orders, service requests, and contractor documentation in alignment with data centre protocols.
  
- Assist in preparing reports, incident summaries, and compliance-related paperwork.
  
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to track task completion and ensure proper filing of certifications and permits.
  
- Support audit readiness by organizing and archiving operational records (physical and digital).
  
- Liaise with engineering staff to verify the accuracy of asset registers, inventory lists, and change management forms.
  
- Ensure administrative workflows adhere to company standards and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, SOC 2, or local data centre guidelines).

## Required Skills and Experience

  
- Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, IT, or a related field.
  
- 1–3 years of experience in a data centre, critical facility, or technical administrative role.
  
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with CMMS or DCIM platforms (e.g., Nlyte, Sunbird, or similar).
  
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple documentation streams.
  
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  
- Understanding of data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, network) is advantageous but not mandatory.

## Location

On-site – Hong Kong SAR, China
