## Position Overview

The Diligent Sales Development Representative I (SDR I) plays an instrumental role in the direct growth of Diligent by generating new business opportunities primarily through inbound leads. The SDR I engages with new leads to understand their business requirements, documents them, and serves as a brand ambassador for Diligent products. Using strong conversational skills, the SDR I maximizes engagement and achieves targets.

## Key Responsibilities

  
- Use CRM (Salesforce) to identify inbound prospects for targeting and enrich records with additional information to create value-focused conversations that lead to initial meetings.
  
- Conduct sales development best practices through email, phone, and social activities using the appropriate software tools to connect with new prospects.
  
- Use smart, targeted questions to qualify the right decision-makers.
  
- Build interest and influence opportunities with inbound prospects.
  
- Coordinate meetings/demonstrations on the Account Executive’s calendar and log activities in the CRM.
  
- Meet or exceed targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) as determined by the business.
  
- Perform other duties as requested based on business needs.

## Required Experience / Skills

  
- French and English language proficiency is essential.
  
- A keen interest in working in a sales-focused, target-driven environment.
  
- Understanding of the sales process (marketing and sales cycle).
  
- Demonstrated ability to articulate the unique value proposition of Diligent solutions and obtain product knowledge.
  
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior-level executives.
  
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  
- High energy and a positive, can-do attitude that drives success.

## Preferred Experience

  
- Experience in sales, SaaS, or senior executive communications is desirable.
