The team manages day-to-day relationships and supports origination of new business, with specific responsibility for delivering financing, treasury, and risk management advice and execution to clients globally. ## Programme Overview The Summer Analyst programme is designed to provide a broad and exciting experience of working as a full-time Corporate Banking analyst. During the summer, you will be pooled across three London Corporate Banking teams: UK & Ireland Corporate Coverage, Financial Institutions Coverage, and Global Subsidiary Coverage. You will work across a diverse range of industries and products. ## Training and Development Training and development are a top priority, with extensive formal training at the start of the programme, plus on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout. ## Responsibilities As a Summer Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include: - Assist Global Corporate Banking professionals in relationship management, origination, and execution across a diverse set of product areas, including Loan & Bond financing, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest Rate Derivatives, and Cash Management - Develop an in-depth understanding of clients, the industries they operate in, and how the bank supports both their growth aspirations and day-to-day banking needs - Provide market-informed judgments on financing strategies to address clients’ specific needs - Help prepare detailed financial models and analytical presentations to support advice across the capital structure - Become proficient at credit analysis and the metrics used to price and structure various debt instruments - Gain familiarity with the legal and documentation aspects of various debt instruments - Work on live transactions and interact with clients as you build your network and experience - Help generate ideas and cross-selling opportunities for new and existing clients - Assist in developing client-specific analysis (e.g., capital structure and acquisition finance) - Work closely with Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Global Transaction Services teams on client coverage and origination ## Eligibility - Be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a completion timeframe between June 2027 and July 2028 - “Completion” means you have completed all final exams and coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation - On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent) - Applications accepted from a diverse range of degree disciplines, including arts and humanities, as well as numerically focused subjects such as economics and mathematics - Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in any European language would be highly desirable - Candidates who perform well may be offered full-time employment to commence in July 2028; some lines of business may offer a January or April start date - If offered, you must be available to join on one of these start dates; deferrals are not available ## What We Are Looking For ### Essential - Demonstrate drive, innovation, and a genuine interest in the financial markets - Strong teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with creativity - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and interact with a variety of people - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Influence decisions and outcomes through effective communication and interpersonal skills - Integrity and ethics, earning trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions ## Recruitment Process Analyst internship and full-time recruiting takes place on a rolling basis once applications are open.
