With opportunities to deepen expertise and accelerate development, talent at Millennium is equipped to adapt, evolve, and build lasting impact over time. ## Planned Start June 2027 ## Estimated Duration 10 weeks ## Meet the Teams The Operations and Middle Office teams play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of trade processing, position maintenance, and operational accuracy across all asset classes traded by the firm. Operations is also the primary contact for prime brokerage relationships and acts as the business owner for the firm’s books and record systems. As an Operations and Middle Office Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in trade confirmation, reconciliation, cash management, and position valuation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate across teams, and contribute to the operational framework of a leading global hedge fund. ## What You’ll Do - Confirm and reconcile trades with Prime Brokers and counterparties across all asset classes, ensuring operational accuracy and timely settlement. - Investigate and resolve trade data discrepancies to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency. - Monitor and manage trading positions, including accurate valuation, reporting, and adjustments for corporate actions such as dividends, stock splits, and mergers. - Track and manage cash positions at banks, ensuring timely completion of wires and supporting cash flow monitoring for trade settlements. - Collaborate with trading businesses and Core Infrastructure teams to support firm-wide initiatives and improve workflows. ## What You Bring - Candidate graduating with a bachelor's degree between December 2027 and June 2028. - Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and reconcile complex data. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment. - Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. - Strong understanding of capital markets, including knowledge of asset classes such as equities, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools like VBA and Python is preferred but not required. - Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, with an interest in building and supporting AI-driven workflows. ## Salary Range The estimated base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000, specific to New York and may change in the future. ## Applying to this role This 2027 Operations & Middle Office Intern, New York role at Millennium runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
