## Role details

## Responsibilities

  
- Support ship repair activities with a focus on auxiliary machineries and propulsion systems.
  
- Dismantle, inspect, and reassemble engines, pumps, gearboxes, shafting, and seals during dry-docking or afloat repairs.
  
- Track progress of assigned jobs and escalate delays or issues as needed.
  
- Support sea trials and commissioning of repaired systems.
  
- Ensure compliance with Class and Flag requirements, assist in survey preparations, and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  
- Coordinate with contractors and adhere to safety protocols.
  
- Participate in VSCC meetings and risk assessments.
  
- Ensure QA/QC checks are completed and documented.

## Requirements

  
- Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
  
- 1 to 3 years of experience in ship repair or marine mechanical systems.
  
- Familiarity with propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and marine standards.
  
- Experience leading teams for Heavy Gang operations related to propulsion systems.
  
- Aptitude for hands-on mechanical tasks.
  
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
  
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  
- Strong attention to detail in measurements and documentation.

- **Location:** Gul Road (island-wide transport provided)
  
- **Work Schedule:** 5 days per week
  
- **Working Hours:** 7:25am–5:00pm
