With engines across roughly 120 aircraft types and more than 47,000 APUs in service today, it supports operators across commercial and defense markets, backed by an aftermarket network designed for the long service life of each platform. ## Key Responsibilities - Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines and machining equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components according to engineering specifications and production requirements. - Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions to determine machining methods, tooling requirements, and dimensional tolerances. - Perform machine setup, tool changes, offset adjustments, and routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient and accurate production. - Monitor machining operations and make necessary process adjustments to maintain product quality, dimensional accuracy, and cycle time targets. - Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators. - Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues, and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to drive timely resolution. - Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies at all times. - Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards to support a safe, clean, and organized work environment. - Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, setup reduction, and waste elimination. - Accurately complete production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation. ## Applying to this role This Machinist - Level 1 role at Honeywell runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
