The firm uses these forecasts to trade on exchanges and alternative trading venues, and to offer differentiated liquidity directly to clients worldwide. XTX Markets trades over $250bn a day across 35 countries and has over 300 employees based in London, Singapore, New York, Paris, Bristol, Mumbai, Yerevan, and Kajaani. The firm is also constructing a large-scale data centre in Finland to future-proof its computational capabilities. Technology is at the core of the firm, and XTX Markets is a diverse, non-hierarchical organisation focused on teamwork. People collaborate openly and with respect for each other, clients, and the market, with a culture where everyone is valued and excellence is the goal. ## The Role XTX Markets is one of the largest philanthropic donors in the UK. Since 2020, the firm has donated over £350m to charities globally and is now regularly giving ~£100m per year. Its philanthropy mainly focuses on maths and science, including education, research, and talent development, and also supports initiatives across a wider range of areas including the environment and global education. The Philanthropy Team is lean and aims to work efficiently, including at a fast pace and using AI and technology effectively. The team consists of four people: Head of Philanthropy, two Philanthropy Managers, and Philanthropy Operations. The team has high expectations for speed and quality, supported by a high-autonomy, low-bureaucracy culture. The Philanthropy Team will host an intern for up to six months, dependent on the date of appointment. The Philanthropy Intern will play a meaningful role in improving data and operations—ensuring accurate ground-truth data and using it efficiently to improve the quality of grant-making relationships. This is not a technical role (no coding). It is suited to someone who is strong with data, has strong attention to detail, and can balance pragmatic and systematic thinking. - Data infrastructure, including reconciliation of ground-truth data and database uploads. - Grant administration, including contractual obligations, payments, monitoring, and reporting. - Operational development including AI, automation, and other technologies and workflows. - Other philanthropy activities and ad hoc duties. ## Essential Attributes You will be driven, efficient, and very comfortable in a high-performance, high-autonomy environment. Being able to work at high speed is essential. You will need to actively seek and apply feedback on performance. Shortlisted candidates will progress to an interview with the Head of Philanthropy, and potentially others from across the firm. **Note:** XTX Markets does not run a graduate scheme, and successful completion of an internship does not necessarily result in a permanent role upon completion.
