This role offers exposure to both strategic and operational aspects of the division, contributing to governance, risk management, and operational efficiency. You will use strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of international capital markets. ## Key Responsibilities - **Senior Manager Regime (SMR):** Manage the SMR Dashboard, liaising with Support Functions for various reports and responding to user queries. - **Dashboard Improvements:** Collaborate with the IT development team to propose and implement dashboard enhancements. - **Governance:** Prepare for committee meetings, including attendance, support documents, minutes, and logging decisions. - **Risk Monitoring:** Design and utilize dashboards to monitor risks, actions, and performance. - **Business Strategy Support:** Support the design and implementation of the UK business strategy in alignment with the global GMD strategy. - **Delegation and Oversight:** Document and update various delegations and implement oversight mechanisms. - **Risks and Controls:** Monitor risks and ensure proper escalation processes are in place. - **3 Lines of Defense (LOD):** Help design, implement, and document the 3 Lines of Defense model for the Senior Manager. - **Policies and Procedures:** Ensure policies and procedures are up to date. - **People and Culture:** Prepare communications from the Senior Manager, including emails and support documents for presentations and town halls. - **Organisation Support:** Maintain up-to-date organisation charts. - **Technology & Operations:** Facilitate interactions with IT and Operations to ensure effective communication and escalation processes. ## Candidate Criteria ### Education - Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent qualification - Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) ### Experience - Desirable: experience in business management, project management, or financial environments ### Required Skills - Good understanding of international capital markets and financial products - Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks methodically - Ability to work under pressure, showing initiative and proactivity - Excellent communication skills, action-oriented approach, and strong problem-solving capabilities ### Technical Skills - Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint - Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle large data sets ## Additional Information **Internship length:** 12 months **Business type:** Corporate & Investment Banking **Contract type:** Internship/Trainee Your work contributes to a social responsibility and sustainable future.
