## Associate Contracts Administrator

### Team Description

Kitware’s Contracts team collaborates with technical, finance, and business development teams to submit quality proposals for project funding opportunities and to negotiate contracts with a wide variety of customers, subcontractors, and vendors. The team provides superior service and expertise that supports Kitware’s mission to solve complex problems and deliver innovative software solutions.

### Position Overview

Kitware seeks an Associate Contracts Administrator to assist with all aspects of the contracting lifecycle for government and industry customers. The administrator will support proposal preparation and contract administration, and provide post-award support.

The role involves working with project managers, team members, auditors, collaborators, customers, and vendors. Customers range from startups to Fortune 500 companies, including government agencies and academic laboratories worldwide.

## In This Position You Will

  
- Assist with preparation of proposals in response to solicitations.
  
- Interface with subcontractors to obtain necessary data for proposals, including pricing information.
  
- Prepare and disseminate proper instructions to the internal organization on contract requirements.
  
- Monitor projects to help ensure contract actions are processed in a timely manner.
  
- Administer contract modifications.
  
- Complete post-award administrative reporting requirements.
  
- Maintain close contact with customers and collaborators to foster long-term business relationships.
  
- Serve as a point of contact for external organizations and internal individuals for proposal and contract-related activities.
  
- Maintain documents and enter data into Kitware’s contract management system.
  
- Perform other assignments as required by management.

## Required Qualifications

  
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (preferably in humanities, business, or a related field).
  
- Strong communication, text analysis, and research skills.
  
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn Kitware’s internal systems.
  
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  
- Ability and willingness to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.
  
- Due to contractual requirements, only US citizens will be considered for this position.

## Preferred Qualifications

  
- Experience with Google Docs.
  
- Familiarity with contracting principles and legal terms and conditions.
  
- One year of demonstrated experience working in a professional environment.
