Candidates are encouraged to ask compensation-related questions and discuss details with their recruiter. ## Line of Business Personal & Commercial Banking ## Job Summary The Teller II works in a TD Store location and delivers legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions accurately and efficiently. The role also educates customers on TD’s products and services or refers them to a partner for specialized solutions. ## Responsibilities (Depth & Scope) - Executes TD’s Brand promise by consistently delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store. - Processes customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box payments efficiently. - Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawers, and night deposits with a high level of accuracy. - Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures; escalates to management as necessary. - Provides lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and guiding appropriately. - Understands customer preferences for banking (when and how they want) and educates customers on self-service/digital options that meet their needs. - Advocates for customers through needs-based conversations; offers financial and digital solutions and/or refers customers to appropriate partners to provide solutions. - Trains and mentors new tellers. - Assists supervisors with daily duties as directed by Store leadership. - Ensures compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act, to minimize risk and protect the customer. - Verifies customers’ identities by following customer authentication policies and procedures. - Balances cash drawers for ATMs and Teller Cash Dispensers (TCDs) / Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs) as necessary. - Adheres to safe deposit box procedures, operations, and guidelines. - Maintains responsibility for cash drawers and vaults, including appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times. - Ensures confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day. - Understands and follows dual control. - Follows all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss. - Uses bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud. - Completes required in-classroom and online training by established due dates. ## Education & Experience - High school diploma or GED. - 1 year of teller or cash handling experience preferred. - Demonstrated customer service skills preferred. - Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled. - Strong organizational skills. - Detail-oriented. - Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent. ## Physical Requirements Never: 0%; Occasional: 1–33%; Frequent: 34–66%; Continuous: 67–100% Domestic Travel – Occasional International Travel – Never Performing sedentary work – Frequent Performing multiple tasks – Continuous Operating standard office equipment - Continuous Responding quickly to sounds – Continuous Sitting – Occasional Standing – Continuous Walking – Occasional Moving safely in confined spaces – Occasional Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) – Occasional Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) – Occasional Squatting – Occasional Bending – Occasional Kneeling – Occasional Crawling – Occasional Climbing – Occasional Reaching overhead – Occasional Reaching forward – Occasional Pushing – Occasional Pulling – Occasional Twisting – Occasional Concentrating for long periods of time – Continuous Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations – Continuous Reading, writing and comprehending instructions – Continuous Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing – Continuous The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
