For more information, visit www.globalfoundries.com. ## Introduction Design, develop, implement, and support Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems related to SPC systems. Ensure 100% system availability and performance to enable the Fab to meet its Yield/Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing goals. ## Your Job - **Provide Level 2 Operations Support to ensure System Availability & Performance** - Start up and shut down SPC application components as and when required. - Troubleshoot SPC integration issues to other applications including SiView, MSP, and MQ. - Provide consultation on SPC functions; work with users to fully exploit SPC capabilities. - Monitor SPC system performance through daily review of trend charts and take appropriate action. - Perform regular data housekeeping. - Perform FMEA; implement monitoring, alert, and recovery scripts and SOPs. - Take action for the e-alerts received. - Train and lead CIM AE in performing Level 1 Support tasks; analyze issue logs and implement continuous improvements to reduce issues. - Understand end-user goals and priorities and apply domain knowledge to develop, test, and document cost-effective CIM/SPC solutions to achieve Quality, Cycle Time improvements, increase user productivity, and prevent human errors. - Develop application functionality training materials and conduct training for end users. - Perform acceptance tests for solutions developed by peers and vendors. - Work on improvement projects in solutions, systems, and infrastructure to improve data integrity, system robustness, availability, and performance. - Work with IT to ensure effective backups and restores, meeting customer and audit requirements. - Plan for SPC system major and minor version upgrades and achieve error-free upgrade rollouts. ## Job Requirements - Degree/Master in Electrical/Electronics or Communications Engineering, Mechanical or Production Engineering, Applied Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing. - Good interpersonal and communication skills. - Strong team player with leadership qualities. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Independent and self-motivated. ## Applying to this role This Engineer Mfg Systems Engineering role at GlobalFoundries runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
