Rockstar is seeking a DevOps/Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of Windows systems and a passion for automating tasks and developing tooling. This is a full-time, in-office role based at Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. - The Rockstar Games Online Services Team focuses on growing and maintaining the technology platform that powers Rockstar’s online titles and enables world-class player experiences. - We collaborate with developers, DBAs, Build Engineers, and Security teams to provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences across our game franchises. - We build world-class infrastructure for high-traffic, high-visibility websites and services. - We continually review processes, automate where possible, and develop our own toolchains. ## Responsibilities - Automate workflows and contribute to our codebase in PowerShell, C#, Python, and Go. - Build using GitHub, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and configuration management (DSC/Chef). - Build and maintain Windows servers in a highly available, public-facing environment. - Maintain and support .NET/ASP.NET websites and services. - Build and support SQL Server failover clusters. - Manage VMware clusters, storage systems, and monitoring systems. - Perform root cause analysis across multiple infrastructure layers. ## Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. - Strong fundamentals in computer science and ability to write clear code. - Solid understanding of operating systems, TCP/IP networking, and HTTP. - Genuine curiosity and an impulse to understand how things work. - Observant and detail-oriented. - Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a larger team. - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. ## How to Apply Please apply with a resume and cover letter demonstrating how you meet the required skills. Base pay is determined by location and may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and other business factors. The total compensation package may include bonuses and/or equity awards, in addition to full benefits (medical, financial, and more). If hired, employees are in an at-will position and the company reserves the right to modify base salary and other compensation or benefit programs at any time, including for performance and market factors.
