This individual will work closely with multiple Engineering teams to build and evolve a TypeScript-based frontend that integrates with Scala and Ruby on Rails backend systems. While the focus will start on the frontend, the role is expected to contribute across the stack over time. ## Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using TypeScript with a focus on usability, performance, and maintainability. - Collaborate with backend teams working in Scala and Ruby on Rails to integrate frontend services within distributed microservice architectures. - Contribute to API design and backend development as needed to support end-to-end feature delivery. - Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. - Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices. - Support and enhance critical, client-facing platforms and workflows. ## Qualifications - Experience as a full-stack engineer with stronger depth on the frontend. - Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks. - Working knowledge of backend technologies such as Scala or Ruby on Rails. - Experience working in a microservices-based architecture. - Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. - Experience supporting complex, high-scale, client-facing applications. - Familiarity with document-heavy or workflow-driven user interfaces. - Willingness to grow deeper into backend ownership over time. ## Benefits The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $135,000. iCapital offers a compensation package that includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
