Posted 2026-07-10; applications close 2026-09-08. **Apply**: https://hcgn.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/48021 Posted 1d ago. ## Role details ## Overview Citizens is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst II to join our Corporate Finance (Industry Coverage) team focusing on Gaming, Leisure & Lodging to support the team’s senior professionals in industry-focused client development and originating, structuring, and executing debt capital markets, equity capital markets, and M&A transactions. The Analyst responsibilities will include client development support and significant transaction involvement, with the ability to work on multiple projects and transactions concurrently. The Analyst will play a critical role in developing industry-focused idea generation, working on deal teams and coordinating projects. The Analyst/Associate would work directly with senior professionals on the Corporate Finance team and in partnership with Debt Capital Markets / Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, and M&A product groups, as well as Sponsor Coverage and Corporate Banking relationship teams to support origination and execution efforts for transactions. These include: acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations, restructurings, refinancings, and equity raises. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing investment banking platform with market leading positions in middle market corporate and financial sponsor backed transactions. Through this experience the Analyst/Associate will gain insight into the issues and considerations for management teams and shareholders at growing middle market companies, and exposure to strategic, financial, and capital decision making. ## Responsibilities - Work with the senior bankers and other analysts/associates on the Gaming, Leisure & Lodging Corporate Finance team - Collaborate with the Debt Capital Markets / Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, and M&A product groups, Sponsor Coverage and Corporate Banking relationship teams to develop idea decks that cover strategic alternatives, acquisition or opportunistic financing ideas, and transaction financing scenarios to help corporate clients and financial sponsors achieve their objectives - Perform extensive financial statement modeling for a variety of transaction scenarios - Conduct comprehensive company and industry research and maintain key industry datasets - Analyze financial model output and client information to prioritize data and present conclusions for discussion; prepare pitch materials for client meetings - Create overviews of new platform investment opportunities or acquisition targets to be shared with clients and sponsors - Support transaction screening and credit / underwriting approval processes and all required documentation, analysis, and meetings - Play a key leadership role throughout the transaction execution process - Participate in accounting, business, and legal due diligence - Prepare detailed transaction marketing materials including confidential information memoranda and lender / management presentations and virtual data rooms ## Qualifications - 1 year of related experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, Industry Coverage, Leveraged Finance / Capital Markets, Equity Research, or Buyside Equities - Experience in Gaming, Leisure & Lodging is preferred - Proven client interaction with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, organized, and articulate manner - Ability to function as part of a flat organization, manage several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of multiple teams - Ability to follow up independently and consistently and play the critical role as the project manager on most assignments - Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with a solid understanding of financial statements, financial modeling and company / industry analysis - Self-starting team player who can think strategically and excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment; high degree of maturity and integrity with a positive and hardworking attitude - Excellent attention to detail; ability to contribute quickly and transfer best practices; full command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Experience with financial services software including S&P CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, FactSet, Pitchbook, AlphaSense, etc. ## Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials - Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record from a leading university - MBA not required but a plus - Attendance in a formal investment or corporate banking training program preferred, but not required - For the Associate role, FINRA Series 79 (or 7) and Series 63 required and/or willingness to obtain licenses within required timeframe ## Hours & Work Schedule - Hours per Week: 40 - Work Schedule: Monday to Friday ## Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $115,000 – $120,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
