We employ professionals across disciplines, including finance, law, data, technology, engineering, and design. ## Position Overview Project Finance US - Canada The Analyst will be part of the New York-based team responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of project finance deals. This is a junior-level role focused on supporting underwriting, due diligence, and financial analysis, with increasing exposure to documentation and financial modeling of awarded transactions. ## Responsibilities - Support more senior team members in underwriting, due diligence, and financial analysis of project finance opportunities in infrastructure and energy. - Maintain and assist with internal applications for product and credit teams. - Prepare market materials for client pitches and Information Memos; develop Lender Presentations for lead-role opportunities; coordinate bank meetings. - Assist with the diligence process from a technical and legal standpoint; support the structuring process through deal closing. - Participate in portfolio management and information reporting on in-process and closed deals; interact with finance on fee recognition. ## Complexity, Risk & Development Although this is a junior position, responsibilities may involve moderately complex tasks within the project finance framework. The role requires quickly developing a strong understanding of underwriting and risk analysis, and coordinating with other client and product groups within the bank. ## Scope of Duties - Collaborate with the Madrid team. - Maintain internal reports and distribute them to appropriate areas. - Develop financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and understanding of derivative instruments. - Participate in client meetings when practical. - Prepare and monitor the loan closing process. - Identify and utilize research tools and resources. - Participate in due diligence and legal meetings. ## Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities - Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 1+ years of experience in corporate or investment banking related to project finance, or experience with construction/energy firms in project finance. - Formal credit training is a strong plus. - Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is preferred. - Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work in a team under tight deadlines. - Understanding of financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; Bloomberg a plus. ## Compensation & Benefits For the New York office, the expected base salary ranges from $100,000 to $110,000. Offers are typically not made at the top of the range. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market/organizational factors. In addition to salary, a discretionary bonus may be offered, along with a generous benefits package.
