Over our 30-year history, we have invested across thousands of partnership interests, driving differentiated and proprietary transactions through established relationships with institutional investors, fund sponsors, and market advisors. Ares Secondaries has more than 150 professionals across six offices: New York, Boston, Dallas, London, Hong Kong, and West Hartford, Connecticut. We are a market leader across GP-led, LP-led, and preferred equity structured transactions. ## Position As the team continues to grow, we are looking to hire an Associate to join our Private Equity Secondaries Investment Team in our New York office. ## Key Responsibilities - Evaluate investment opportunities through detailed due diligence, industry research, benchmarking, and financial modelling - Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on buyout, growth, and other private equity limited partnership interests and underlying companies - Prepare and present investment recommendations to committees and the broader investment team - Support the investment team in transaction management and monitoring of existing investments - Build industry relationships by engaging with fund sponsors, advisors, and attending conferences and sponsor meetings ## Education/Experience Required - 1–3 years of experience in private equity secondaries, investment banking, private equity, or principal investing - Strong academic record, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities - Advanced financial analysis, modelling, and presentation capabilities - Ability to work independently and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced deal teams ## Reporting Relationships Reports to: Partner, Secondaries ## Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 – $135,000.00. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
