The core focus is to prepare, evaluate, analyze, and summarize valuation results related to deal underwritings and portfolio management, with a specific focus on leveraged loans. In addition to valuations, the team handles ad hoc and recurring analyses related to portfolio monitoring and reporting, and provides valuation training to enhance the competencies of the team and employees outside the Enterprise Valuation group consistent with MUFG’s talent development and knowledge sharing values. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client site four days per week and remote one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. ## Major Responsibilities - Join a team of professionals that (i) perform valuation analysis, (ii) handle a variety of ad hoc and recurring analyses, and (iii) conduct valuation training - Prepare valuation analysis and presentations for the Portfolio Management Group and Credit Groups, and for ad-hoc deliverables - Update valuation models/templates related to portfolio management, including discounted cash flow (DCF), peer group and precedent transaction multiples, and other valuation models - Apply valuation methodologies in line with MUFG’s valuation policy - Create and develop presentation materials to effectively communicate results within MUFG - Work closely with the Portfolio Management Group and Credit Groups to assist in the completion of new deal underwritings and portfolio management - Participate in and contribute to special assignments and projects as required ## Experience / Skills - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline - 1–3 years of experience in banking with exposure to credit underwriting or review (preferred) - Experience with valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiples, market transactions, and other evaluation methodologies - Strong quantitative and technical abilities, including financial modeling capabilities - Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment with recurring deliverables as well as projects supporting a rapidly growing business - Ability to deliver complex messages clearly and concisely - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint ## Qualifications The typical base pay range for this role is $90,000 – $105,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The role may be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
