Whether you have experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades, or technology, or you’re applying relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward. ## Job Title Junior Engineering Administrator ## Division Property Management, REMS ## Reporting to Co-Head of Engineering, PM ## Role Description The Engineering apprentice will be an integral part of the team to help deliver and manage various engineering activities, as listed in the Key Objectives, to support Property Management, JLL. Responsibilities include handling enquiries, proposing solutions in line with established templates and framework costs, liaising with suppliers to deliver works in a timely and professional manner. It will also include maintaining the fee project schedule for current work activities from proposal through to work completion, billing, and final payment. Assist the team with presenting project progress and portfolio status to internal teams and several clients. ## Team Structure The role requires working closely with the Engineering Business Manager on day-to-day activities, with oversight from the Senior Engineering Director. The role involves engineering activities, mainly the EPC service, and close collaboration with JLL property managers, FMs, external EPC assessors, and sometimes clients. Other engineering data sets are reported monthly to the Property Management Procurement team. The engineer apprentice will also engage with other teams within Property Management and broader JLL UK departments. ## Key Objectives - Assist the Engineering team in delivering engineering management activities, including the EPC service, engineering compliance, supplier performance, energy & carbon analysis, and involvement with new engineering regulations, as well as services delivered to the JLL portfolio. - Provide analytical support to meet client requirements and generate operational reports based on standard templates. - Issue fee proposals based on pre‑agreed fee schedule rates for the EPC service and manage EPC instructions from enquiry through final billing and payment (full support provided alongside engineers). - Proactively manage the billing schedule for EPCs and other Property Management Engineering products for JLL. - Liaise with other Property Management teams including Sustainable Operations, Procurement, H&S, Accounts, etc. - Support Engineering with portfolio reporting and investigation activities. ## Education and Qualifications - Ideally completed STEM‑biased A‑levels or equivalent, with an interest in engineering and/or property management. ## Skills and Attributes - Willingness to learn and develop with a positive attitude - Analytical and problem-solving capabilities - Time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines - Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards - Strong teamwork and ability to engage with stakeholders - Keen to develop skills and knowledge to become solution‑oriented - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities and seek support when needed - Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); knowledge of other software platforms is advantageous - Willingness to learn new technologies and engineering methodologies - Interest in building a career in Engineering, including professional membership This is an apprenticeship position which includes undertaking a Level 3 Business Administration programme. ## Course Level 3 Business Administration (15-month course) ## Link to Course https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0070-v1-0 ## Location On-site – London, GBR ## Application Note If this job description resonates, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
