AIS is committed to a thriving, employee-driven culture. ## Description As an Underwriting Assistant, you will provide processing and underwriting support to MidCorp business. You will work closely with Underwriters and the wider Service team, including offshore teams, to ensure service activities are completed within specified delivery timelines. You will also act as an account representative by responding to service matters and coordinating with the appropriate business partner for resolution. ## Key Responsibilities - Provide support to Underwriters in underwriting operations, procedures, and policies. - Complete associated business processes such as MCP updating, SharePoint eFiling, ABS updates, sanctions checks, and other tasks. - Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports. - Build strong relationships and provide prompt customer service to all internal and external stakeholders. - Liaise with, support, and conduct regular quality checks on tasks assigned to and completed by the Policy Management Team and offshore team, including pre-renewal reports and sanctions checks. - Support knowledge transfer and contribute to upskilling and training the offshore or onshore team. - Liaise with and follow up with placement brokers for premium closings, advices, and premium calculations to ensure premium bookings are completed in a timely manner. - Establish processes to effectively monitor work in progress and set priorities to complete tasks within turnaround times. - Complete documents following placement of Facultative Reinsurance, where applicable. - Assist in the reconciliation of premium with respective business partners. ## Qualifications and Skills - Minimum Diploma holder - Prior experience in an insurance/reinsurance company preferred - Knowledge of commercial lines of business preferred - Experience in underwriting support functions, data entry, and policy administration - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel - Effective communication skills - Strong customer service skills - Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally - Ability to navigate ambiguity and complete tasks with minimal supervision - Proactive and “can-do” attitude - Willingness to learn - AI skills (e.g., ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot) an advantage Additional information: 100811 | Underwriting | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Singapore | Full-Time | Permanent ## About Allianz Allianz Group is a global leader in insurance and asset management.
