A career within Actuarial Services will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third-party administrators. You’ll provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. In short, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance company’s balance sheet or revise businesses’ projections to ensure adequate reserves. ## Key Responsibilities - Work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. - Be part of an environment that broadens functional training, personal and technical skills, and deepens knowledge of client services. - Support staff as needed for a wide variety of work and contribute to the team on a daily basis. ## What We Are Looking For - Students in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines with a strong analytical and quantitative background. - A self-driven learner capable of quickly learning and applying new tools and techniques such as proprietary actuarial software and cash flow models. - An appreciation for structured, methodical research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills applicable to a business environment. - A natural curiosity to identify, investigate, and explain trends and patterns in data. - Ability to analyze and simplify complex concepts and technical findings for communication to team members and clients. - Knowledge of programming (e.g., VBA, C++, Java, Python) and analytical software (e.g., R, SAS) is an advantage. ## Application Notes - Please indicate your first-choice role and, where applicable, a second-choice role, based on your skills, interests, and career aspirations. - Only shortlisted candidates will be notified due to the high volume of applications. - Kindly upload both your resume and academic transcript/degree audit in PDF format. - Have questions?
