As a Business Compliance Officer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the bank's operations are conducted with integrity and in compliance with regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, identify potential risks, and implement effective controls to mitigate them, contributing to maintaining the bank’s reputation and the trust of our customers. ## How You Succeed Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry trends. Work collaboratively with business units to identify and assess compliance risks, and develop effective controls to manage these risks. Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential compliance issues and implement solutions. ## What You Do - Perform Customer Due Diligence reviews on Enterprise Banking clients. - Ensure completion of Periodic Reviews within the stipulated timeframe and in line with Bank’s policies and procedures. - Work closely with Relationship Managers to gather client documents/information required to complete the reviews. - Conduct research via available Bank systems, commercial databases, and public sources. - Identify, analyse, and escalate potential AML/CFT/sanctions risks. - Identify and escalate any unusual activity/transactions that are not consistent with the client’s profile. ## Who You Are - A diploma/degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or a related field, with at least 1–2 years of experience in AML/CFT/sanctions compliance or a related field. - Fresh graduates with good aptitude may also apply. - Good grasp of local regulatory, KYC and AML guidelines; awareness of bank controls and AML risk. - Proficiency in MS Office applications. - Keen eye for detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent command of spoken and written English and/or other languages. - Ability to articulate thought processes clearly, concisely, and effectively. - Ability to multi-task and work well in a high-pressure environment to meet deadlines. ## Applying to this role This Business Compliance Officer (6 Months Contract), EB Business Compliance role at OCBC runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
