## Investment Banking Analyst – Real Estate Group, New York

Morgan Stanley’s Banking Group provides industry, regional and product expertise to corporations, institutions and government clients to develop and execute innovative and customized solutions to strategic and financing issues in the global marketplace. The Banking Group includes industry groups that work closely with product teams in Mergers & Acquisitions, Global Capital Markets, Real Estate, and other groups to provide market insight, product creativity, and execution expertise. Solutions include initial public offerings; public and private equity and equity-linked financings; mergers, acquisitions and restructurings; defense advisory assignments; strategic partnerships; public and private debt placements; share repurchases; and hedging, swaps and derivative transactions.

Our New York City office is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Real Estate Group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high-quality advice to our clients. You will play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.

### Responsibilities

The role involves supporting senior bankers on a variety of transactions within the Real Estate sector, collaborating across teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions, conducting market and financial analyses, building models, preparing client materials, and assisting with execution processes from start to finish.

### Qualifications

  
- At least 1 year of experience in investment banking or capital markets
  
- High motivation, strong work quality, attention to detail, and sound decision-making
  
- Experience in Real Estate is preferred but not required
  
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude
  
- Analytical, quantitative, adaptable, a self-starter, a team player, and results-oriented
  
- Interest in developing a career in investment banking
  
- Bachelor’s degree required
  
- Series licensing or commitment to obtain licensing

_Expected base pay rates for the role will be $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive programs, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefits._
