(NYSE: JEF), a diversified financial services company. ## Program Overview Jefferies’ Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program provides Summer Analysts with the opportunity to gain valuable experience across an array of investment banking products and industries and to develop lasting personal and professional relationships with peers and senior bankers. The lean deal team structure provides Summer Analysts with a platform to play an important role, working closely with senior bankers on pitches and live deals. In addition to performing fundamental analysis and research into companies and markets, interns are encouraged to think creatively, offer input, and add value to the team from day one. Summer Analysts are expected to pursue their projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the highest levels of integrity. Summer Analysts focus on real-life on-the-job learning, with colleagues serving as instructors and mentors. Each Summer Analyst will review their professional development and receive detailed feedback on their performance over the course of the 10 weeks at Jefferies. Students in their penultimate year of university with an anticipated graduation date of October 2027 – June 2028 may apply for the Summer Analyst Program. ## Responsibilities - Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses. - Build and maintain financial models. - Assist in the preparation of pitchbooks and live deal materials, such as offering memorandums and prospectuses. - Conduct industry and product research. - Analyze detailed corporate and financial information. - Participate in the execution of financings and M&A transactions. ## What We Look For Successful Jefferies Summer Analysts will be able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. They may work on projects in Southeast Asia as well as greater China. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism and client-management skills, along with strong technical, written, and verbal communication abilities. The work is fast-paced, intense and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, be adaptable, and work independently or as part of a team are essential traits. - A strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.6 or equivalent and in the penultimate year (second year of a three-year degree, or third year of a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent program). - Although a background in accounting or finance is helpful, interns are hired from diverse disciplines. - Asian language skills are a plus. - For the Singapore opportunity, candidates must hold a valid work permit or be a Singapore citizen. It is ideal if candidates possess spoken and written fluency in a Southeast Asia language. ## Investment Banking – Singapore The Jefferies Singapore Investment Banking team focuses on the origination and execution of equity and M&A transactions for Southeast Asian clients. Our business in Southeast Asia and Asia has strong deal momentum, and we continue to leverage this to play an active role in M&A, initial public offerings and equity fundraises, and cross-border financing across sectors in the region. We have recently added experienced sector and coverage senior bankers to continue growing our franchise in Asia. Our Investment Banking team collaborates with teams in New York, London and other regional offices as one global team in cross-border transactions.
