May perform as an individual contributor or as a manager, depending on assignment. Responsibilities include process control, testing, inspection, equipment design and collaboration with suppliers, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and environmental, health, and security requirements. ## Responsibilities - Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure products are free of flaws and function as designed. - Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and conducts product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates. - Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. - Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures effective corrective actions are implemented, and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs. - Performs all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supports Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements. - Works on and collaborates with other projects and/or assignments as needed. ## Requirements - Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field. - 1–2 years of test engineering experience, preferably in the semiconductor wafer fabrication industry. - Strong communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written). - Strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment. ## About GlobalFoundries GlobalFoundries is a leading full-service semiconductor foundry providing a unique combination of design, development, and fabrication services to some of the world’s most inspired technology companies.
