Posted 2026-06-03; applications close 2026-08-02. **Apply**: https://hdpc.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CampusHiring/job/175520 Posted 3d ago. ## Role details ## Job Title Associate, Software Engineering ## Location New York, NY ## Responsibilities - Develop, enhance, support and maintain the Firm’s software solutions in support of its global businesses. - Design and implement high quality, scalable and thoughtful technology solutions leveraging both internal and open-source services. - Assist in requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment. - Collaborate with internal teams to develop solution designs. - Identify new external technologies that can transform financial businesses and internal platforms in innovative and disruptive ways. - Work in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to meet internal and regulatory requirements. - Design, implement and maintain robust testing suites to enable safe, complete, and scalable solutions across business lines. ## Qualifications Education and experience requirements: - Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related software engineering role OR - Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related software engineering role. Experience/skill requirements (must have 5 of the 7 following skills with the stated degree): - C++ or Java - Full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support - Building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented enterprise applications within Unix environment - Programming technologies including Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka - Relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Sybase or Oracle - Micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Spring, or other back-end technologies - Database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB ## Salary Annual base salary for this New York, New York-based position is $132,000 - $168,700. ## Equal Opportunity ©The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., 2026.
