Posted 2026-06-02; applications close 2026-08-01. **Apply**: https://globalfoundries.wd1.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/USA---New-York---Malta/Process-Engineer---Etch_JR-2602614 Posted 4d ago. ## Role details ## Responsibilities - Maintain and develop processes for high-volume manufacturing (HVM), including variability reduction, recipe development, defectivity reduction, and process optimization for technologies such as FinFET and Si Photonics. - Sustain production line with daily SPC monitoring, improve CpK, and provide troubleshooting support for process and tool issues. - Enhance process robustness using statistical tools, design of experiments (DOE), data-driven decision making, and systematic problem solving. - Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement for throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning. - Train shift technicians to execute business processes in a 24x7 HVM production environment. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including equipment suppliers, equipment engineers, technicians, CFM (contamination-free manufacturing) team, PI (process integration) team, cost management, and quality assurance teams. ## Qualifications - Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a related field, or foreign equivalent plus 1 year of post-baccalaureate experience in the offered job or related engineering roles. - 1 year of experience in: - SPACE SPC tools to monitor and control the quality of manufacturing processes - FMEA line yield improvements - Creating and improving Corrective Action Specifications - Semiconductor equipment - Design of Experiments (DOE) - Tool matching and performance improvements ## Compensation **Expected Salary Range:** $105,678 - $120,000/year The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location. ## Reasonable Accommodation If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the employment process, please contact us by email at usaccommodations@gf.com and let us know the nature of your request and your contact information.
