Job Description

The Amazon Operations team is seeking Lead Fulfillment Associates with a track record of achieving results to support operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operational performance within our fulfillment centers. Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center, and all roles include production duties as needed (e.g., pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, unload/load trucks). Lead Fulfillment Associates are responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them, and maintaining safe work areas.

Compensation & Bonus

IAG1 is Launch Bonus Eligible. The bonus is $10,000 pre-tax.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be located at a site outside of 50 miles from the launch site. This is determined by the distance from the candidate’s home site to the launch site.
  • Has not received another launch bonus within the current calendar year.
  • Hired within 30 days of first receive (FR).

Collection of Funds

When a candidate accepts an offer with a bonus, it will be automatically paid out 3 weeks prior to their start date.

Repayment Scenarios

There are certain situations in which the employee would need to pay back the launch bonus. In all cases the bonus will be prorated based on the time in service at the new launch site. These scenarios include:

  • If the candidate leaves Amazon voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months of receiving the launch bonus.
  • If the candidate is demoted from the role voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months of receiving the bonus.
  • If the candidate fails to start at the new site.
  • If the candidate chooses to laterally transfer to another site within 6 months of the launch.

About the Role

The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center. All roles include production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, and unload/load trucks. Lead Fulfillment Associates will also be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them, and keeping their work areas safe.

Fulfillment Center Roles

Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center; the range and make-up of positions vary by building type. The following roles are used to staff the indicated building types: ARS, TNS, IXD, MoD, KRBA, Merch, HAZ Waste, and TSSL. These positions include:

  • Trainer: Maintains expert-level knowledge in at least two production departments; evaluates and improves processes; supports SOP updates and training; provides feedback. This position may include Behind The Smile, PIT, Learning Trainer, AR Amnesty, and T3 Learning Coordinator (MoD sites).
  • Process Assistant: Supports daily management of department duties, allocates labor, leads meetings, assigns job duties, and communicates with internal and external partners. Drives standard work in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Titles may include Receive, Pick, Pack, Stow, Sort, Flow, Prep, Dock, Ship, and more.
  • Dock Clerk: Manages inbound flow from scheduling to receipt, communicates with carriers, and leads dock personnel. May also be the Pod Transfer role in some FCs.
  • Shipping Clerk: Coordinates with multiple shipping companies, uses shipping software to ship and track packages, and arranges trailers to dock doors and cross docks using OMA tools.
  • Non-Inventory Receiver: Works with Procurement to manage non-inventory goods, organizes supplies and tools, researches missing shipments, and operates PIT equipment.
  • Data Analyst: Partners with ICQA and operations teams to provide data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root-cause investigation of defects, and ICQA SoX compliance.

Compensation Notes

The starting pay for this position includes the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential, depending on the shift selected. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
