Job Overview

IAG1 is launch bonus eligible. The bonus is $10,000 pre-tax. Eligible candidates must meet the criteria outlined below. The Amazon operations team is seeking Shipping Clerks with a track record of achieving results to support operations leaders and associates in delivering strong results within our fulfillment centers. Shipping Clerks will be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them, and maintaining safe work areas.

Eligibility & Bonus Details

• Must be located at a site outside of 50 miles from the launch site. This is determined by the distance from the candidate’s home site to the launch site.
• Has not received another launch bonus within the current calendar year.
• Hired within 30 days of first receipt (FR).

Bonus Payout

When a candidate accepts an offer with a bonus, it will be automatically paid out three weeks prior to the start date.

Repayment Conditions

There are situations in which the employee would need to repay the launch bonus. In all cases, the bonus will be prorated based on the time in service at the new launch site. These scenarios include:

• If the candidate leaves Amazon voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months of receiving the launch bonus.
• If the candidate is demoted from the role voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months of receiving the bonus.
• If the candidate fails to start at the new site.
• If the candidate chooses to laterally transfer to another site within 6 months of the launch.

The Amazon operations team is looking for Shipping Clerks with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Shipping Clerks will also be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them, and keeping their work areas safe.

Position Responsibilities

Ship Clerk responsibilities include:

• Correspond with multiple shipping companies and their contacts.
• Use multiple shipping company software to ship and track packages.
• Coordinate trailers to corresponding dock doors and cross docks using the OMA tool.
• Ensure proper processes are followed with the Trailer Dock Release program.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others or one Peak as a Seasonal Tier 3
• 1+ year working in a like environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members

Additional Information

Starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential applicable depending on the shift selected. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
