E. Shaw group seeks motivated individuals with impressive records of academic and/or professional achievement to join the firm as trader/analyst interns. Research analysts and traders are vital to fundamental investing groups, bringing their unique perspectives to the firm’s collegial teams. This is a ten-week program that is expected to run from June to August 2027. ### What you’ll do day-to-day - Research, analyze, and perform due diligence on specific companies or industries to help the team assess potential investments. - Stay up to date on current news and trends, read company reports, and analyze data from a variety of sources. - Leverage several technological platforms to analyze market data and make qualitative decisions based on those analyses, reflecting the firm’s position at the intersection of finance and technology. ### Who we’re looking for - Analytical rigor, impressive critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated interest in financial markets (e.g., through trading or coding competitions; STEM research experience; involvement with investing or finance clubs, internships, or insight programmes; or Olympiad participation). - Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze and think through the implications of new investment ideas while also contributing original perspectives. - Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in any field of study; no previous finance experience is necessary.
