In doing so, FGC aims to deploy an initial £2.5bn as part of a planned £10-20bn deployment over the next 10 years into UK and global private markets, supported by Phoenix Group’s plans to invest 5% of its relevant savings products on behalf of its policyholders as well as ongoing fundraising led by both Schroders and Phoenix Group, via its Standard Life subsidiary. FGC will design and manage UK and Global multi-private asset solutions for UK insurance and pension clients providing exposure to a broader range of innovative companies and investment opportunities for millions of UK pension savers. ## About Schroders, our parent company We’re a global investment manager. And we have everything we need to work flexibly. ## What you’ll do - Assist in sourcing and evaluation of new investments, implemented through funds and mandates. Proactively building market relationships and consistently sharing findings with the wider team; - Perform detailed due diligence which includes running quantitative models alongside a range of private markets specific qualitative assessments; - Assist in preparation of investment committee memos and presenting to the committee; - Monitor investments through review of quarterly and annual materials; participate in annual meetings as required; - Assist in the writing of regular reporting and fund investment updates; - Work with the business development team to create materials based on market reviews and investments made. ## The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field; - Experience in private markets funds investing gained from working at fund of funds, private markets advisory firms, or private markets teams within investment consultancies; - Excellent financial analysis skills and ability to create / work on complex Excel models; - Keenness and ability to cultivate a broad and active network of private markets manager relationships; and - Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines. ## We recognise potential, whoever you are Our purpose is to provide excellent investment performance to clients through active management.
