**Pay Details:** $24.25 – $32.50 USD

## Role Overview

The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison integral to delivering TD’s brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist customers with their banking solutions/needs. This role contributes to achieving business objectives that enable growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD.

## Responsibilities

  
- Proficient in products, services, and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate customers on bank products and services or refer them to appropriate team members or internal bank partners while ensuring a positive customer experience
  
- Possess broad knowledge of the full product suite, services, and processes of the business area with low to moderate complexity/risk
  
- Establish and nurture customer relationships by displaying product knowledge, actively listening to customer needs, and offering solutions or partner referrals
  
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs and highlight features and benefits that support customers through life events, save time and money, and exceed their expectations
  
- Use customer relationship management tools to proactively participate in customer assessments and lead-focused outbound sales
  
- Independently resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary
  
- Build working relationships with customers and explain detailed or complex information
  
- Perform a range of activities with full proficiency gained through job-related training
  
- Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver on the “unexpectedly human” promise
  
- Engage in conversations about loan products and facilitate application intake
  
- Maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry)

## Education & Experience

  
- HS Diploma or GED
  
- 1+ years’ experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience (preferred)
  
- Teller experience (preferred)
  
- Must be able to complete teller training upon hire to handle customer transactions
  
- Ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services (preferred)
  
- Demonstrated organization skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  
- Excellent communication skills—concise, clear, and consistent
  
- Ability to schedule and prioritize work; work independently and within deadlines
  
- Sound judgment and effective problem-solving
  
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
  
- Notary License (Preferred)

## Customer Accountabilities

  
- Deliver legendary experience by helping customers, building relationships, and delivering service and advice
  
- Support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy by providing end-to-end advice, building trust with educational content, and offering proactive insights
  
- Act as a customer advocate to improve financial confidence, provide resolutions, and offer proactive tips
  
- Consistently demonstrate behaviors that deliver a legendary customer experience in-store
  
- Manage lobby flow, warmly welcome customers, discover initial needs, and guide them appropriately
  
- Understand customer preferences and educate on self-service options that meet their needs
  
- May act as a point of escalation for customer questions or concerns
  
- May perform teller transactions (e.g., check cashing, deposits, transfers, withdrawals) while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to policies
  
- Consider the impact of decisions on TD, its customers, and stakeholders
  
- Act as a brand champion internally and externally
  
- Educate clients on self-service channels including digital options
  
- Bring your genuine self to each banking transaction, making it a personalized interaction

- Participate in daily store operations in line with TD's risk framework

- Ensure documentation reflects client/business intentions and complies with rules/regulations

## OCC Language

  
- This position falls within the definition of Loan Originator under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act and Mortgage Loan Originator under the SAFE Act
  
- Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z
  
- Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS under the SAFE Act
  
- Will undergo criminal background check and credit report check; may require statements/certifications regarding findings
