## Summary of Role

Our Fab 8 team is seeking Entry-level Equipment Engineers in our Malta, NY location. The individual selected for this position will be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) organization with primary responsibilities focused on installation, support, and continuous improvement of semiconductor equipment.

## Essential Responsibilities

  
- Support the Fab8 equipment engineering and maintenance team.
  
- Collaborate with process and manufacturing teams.
  
- Establish equipment engineering and maintenance business processes necessary to run and maintain tools in production, including documentation according to quality standards.
  
- Develop and implement SOPs, BKMs, and JBIs for tooling in production, with documentation aligned to quality standards.
  
- Develop and train equipment technicians; create materials and conduct training for technicians working on tools in the area.
  
- Maintain close interaction with equipment suppliers; manage supplier relations and escalate/tool issue resolution as needed.
  
- Advanced troubleshooting of semiconductor process tool issues.
  
- Perform trace data analysis using OEM applications (e.g., Lam DA, TEL Ingenio).
  
- Perform trace data analysis using current FDC implementation (FDC E3).
  
- Read and understand tool schematics (electrical, PIDs, utilities diagrams, etc.).
  
- Set up equipment performance KPIs (Availability, Net MT%, PM Success); monitor and adjust according to fab goals.
  
- After equipment start-up/ramp-up, assume responsibility for daily equipment engineering tasks, including performance tracking, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction programs.
  
- Share knowledge on best-known methods and improvement levers with sister fabs (e.g., Fab 1, Fab 7) and translate changes from other factories into improvement actions within the current fab.

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

## Required Qualifications

  
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited program.
  
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  
- Language Fluency – English (written and verbal).

## Preferred Qualifications

  
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  
- Project management skills, including ability to innovate and execute on solutions; ability to navigate ambiguity.
  
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
- Strong planning and organizational skills.

## Expected Salary Range

$54,200.00 - $110,300.00

The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
